If you would like to go to church in a peaceful country setting, come look us up! We are in Northern Harford County Maryland, a half-mile south of the famous Mason--Dixon Line-- the Pennsylvania border. We also have visitors from different parts of York County, Pennsylvania, who come to visit with us and participate in our Sabbath School and Worship Service.

Sabbath School begins at  9:50 am,  and the Worship Service begins about  11:20 am, each Saturday morning.

Sabbath School features Bible Study and group discussion between class members.  Right now we are studying a series called "God's Mission-- My Mission" until the end of December 2023.    (This series of lessons looks at different aspects of the crucial mission which Christ has left to His church-- introducing people to Jesus, and preparing them for His soon return.)

A free lesson quarterly book is available to anyone who comes and visits. A new, three-month  series of lessons will begin in January.

The Worship Service is a Spirit-filled traditional Worship Service with singing of hymns, prayer together, and a sermon from God's Word. During our Morning Prayer Time, we invite all who are in the congregation to bring their Prayer Requests, their praises-- answers to prayer, and matters that are upon their hearts. (Some people follow the "Silent Prayer Request" route, and that's perfectly fine.) Different people have told me that this is the most heart-warming part of our Service

We almost always have a Fellowship Meal after the Church Services. You are certainly welcome to attend the meal.  Along with very good food, our meals feature lots of friendliness and small church charm.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study is held each Wednesday evening on Zoom (on the computer) from  7:20 pm until 8:00 pm. We also have a time for Fellowship (basically talking to each other) from 7:00 pm until 7:20 pm.    We then bring our prayer requests, our answered prayers, and those things which are upon our hearts-- before we have our Bible study.

Right now, we are studying the Book of Second Corinthians  -- verse by verse. It is an awesome study, and a fascinating book of the Bible.   If you would like to be a part of this special Zoom fellowship on Wednesday evening, please call Pastor Ponder and he will get you fixed up with a place in the group.

He will see to it that you will get a link each week in your email. This link will allow you to get into this Zoom meeting, a small group Christian fellowship.  You contact this fellowship meeting through your computer or mobile phone. Of course, no one is able to come every single time, and no one is expecting you to do this. Just come when you can!

When the weather is warm and nice, we sometimes will go out after the Fellowship Meal  for a hike in a scenic location like Eden Mill Nature Center. Once a year, we often go to a place like Eden Mill for an Outdoor Church Service and a picnic lunch. This is truly an enjoyable experience.

Channel Road is in a rural area, so a person may have a somewhat challenging time the first time you come to our church. But please do not give up!  Give me a call or a text, and I will give you directions. I will also send you an easy-to-follow map.

Channel Road is not far from Fawn Grove, New Park,  and Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. We are just across the Maryland-Pennsylvania state line, 1/2 mile into Maryland. The closest Maryland town is Jarrettsville. (We are 10 miles northwest from Jarrettsville.) Near to the close of this presentation, we will give some further directions of how to find the church, which some people call "The Church in the Wildwood".

We are the Norrisville Seventh-day Adventist Church, and we look forward to meeting you!

Pastor Tim Ponder

Also, please note:

There are several features and links contained in this website that I think you will find interesting.  In the section called "About Us", you will find a presentation called "About Seventh-day Adventists".  This will give you a pretty complete picture of the world-wide ministry and work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its 22 million members.

On this website page, you will also find a section called "A Worldwide Church Family".  A link to News and then the Adventist News Network (ANN Videos) in this section presents  numerous news stories. This  includes the activities of world-wide ministries such as ADRA (the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.) These video presentations from the Adventist New Network are produced each week, and run for about 28 minutes. These video presentations are also archived on the Website-- going all the way back to November 2011 !

You will see the reason why the Seventh-day Adventist Church exists-- to proclaim the Three Angels' Messages of Revelation 14 and prepare the world for the soon return of Jesus Christ to this earth. The Norrisville Church wants to share in this proclamation of this special and crucial message to the people in our community and region. We see our place of  spiritual ministry to be in Harford County, Maryland and York County, Pennsylvania.

Also, in the section called "About Us", you will find  a comprehensive look at the 28 major beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. These 28 Beliefs give a systematic presentation of the most important themes of  the entire Bible, and our Christian lives.  Along with these 28 Beliefs and their accompanying Bible studies, this Website has put together 28 well-done, colorful, and interesting video presentations. These videos are only about three to five minutes long. I think it would enrich your life if you would take a look at them.
